Our green coffee comes out of the same direct trade relationships as everything else we sell — our family's own farms in Brazil's Sul de Minas region, where the Carneiro family has grown coffee since 1890, plus long-standing partner farms and cooperatives in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru and beyond. Roasting It Yourself

Green coffee is stable for far longer than roasted coffee, so buying green and roasting in small batches is the surest route to a genuinely fresh cup. Store it somewhere cool, dry and dark, and roast to taste.

Nossa Familia is a Certified Organic handling facility under Oregon Tilth and a Certified B Corporation.

This is a raw agricultural commodity (RAC) and as such, control for biological hazards falls in the hands of the end user. Green coffee is intended to be roasted before consuming.

Great coffee at a great price

As the price of roasted coffee has gone thru the roof, I'm so pleased that Nossa Familia has Brazilian green coffee beans at a reasonable price. It roasted up so easily that I've been able to cut down on the time needed to get it where I like it. AND I can pick it up at the main office an avoid the shipping charges. Gives me an excuse to go visit friends who live in NW as well as take a hike in Forest Park!

Incredibly smooth!

This is my first shipment of green beans from Nossa Familia. The order process was very easy and the beans arrived at my house in just a couple of days. Yesterday I roasted my first batch of Guatemala FSJM beans using my Fresh Roast SM540 roaster set on 5-8-8. The beans roasted great! The coffee is incredibly smooth and smells so good! I can't wait to try the other varieties! Nossa Familia is definitely going to be my go-to for green beans!

My new green coffee supplier

I have roasted up 2 different types of beans and both came out great. Nossa Familia is my go to now for green beans- good quality, good selection, knowledgeable and fast shipping. Cant get much better.

DECAF GUATEMALAN

One of the best decaf coffees we have roasted. Beautiful raw beans. Tastes as good as non-decaf.

Good beans

Like anything taste is dependent upon the taster. I did not find this coffee to my liking. It is not bad, but for me is very non-descript, just a coffee. I did not get a chance to try different roasts, so it is possible that I have missed something.

Cerrado base

This bean continues to roast well through the medium light to dark with several highlights and aromas including dark chocolate, cherry and berry
richness. I will look forward to other green bases should they become available.
