Teodoro's is part of Nossa Familia's Family Line — named for the people and places that shaped our coffee story. These beans come from our family's own farms in Brazil's Sul de Minas region, where Augusto Carneiro's family has been growing coffee since 1890. At over 1,100m elevation, the farms use a Pulped-Natural processing method that brings out the natural sweetness and body that makes this roast so distinctive.

Great fresh coffee

I’ve been getting coffee from Nossa for a few years and swapped to Teodoro’s in November. It works great with my Lelit Elizabeth for espresso and milk drinks. Also makes a good balanced cup with Behmor brazen for drip at the office. Smooth, clean and easy to drink. Not too dark like most off the shelf coffees labeled medium or dark.

Perfect for Espresso

Teodoro's is the perfect roast to make espresso. It's balanced, not bitter, and the notes of cocoa and roasted nutty flavor is the perfect base for whatever coffee concoction - cappucino, latte, mocha, or a basic americano.

I'm brewing very well, thanks.

Fanatical as this may sound, I pull shots manually from a Flair58 espresso device. And I hand grind the beans with a precision Kunu grinder. So, as a purist who doesn't mind taking 20 minutes to ceremoniously prepare my morning coffee, I knew I had to find a freshly roasted, rich, full-bodied coffee to justify my effort. A sympathetic friend told me about Nossa Familia's mail order service and I can now say there's a true symbiosis between my barista manuale approach and the delizioso caffe I enjoy each morning. Thanks Nossa Familia!

My favorite go-to coffee of all time

Teodoro's Roast has become my standard. I realized I'm an Italian-style roast kind of person and medium-dark is my favorite roast profile. I love light, medium and dark, but there’s something about a roasty, nutty, chocolatey cup of coffee on a cool morning. This roast makes me think of sitting by the fireplace or receiving a warm hug from my Nonna. The only reason I deducted a star is they did away with the smaller bags that were perfect. Also, there's been times when the brew tasted flat or stale. I did everything to spec with the weighing, grinding and brewing, but sometimes this roast is inconsistent in flavor. I wish it was roasted-to-order, as well. Sometimes, I've received bags that were nearly 2 weeks from the roast date. The other dozen online shops I order from are within a week of roasting by the time they arrive. I wish Nossa Familia was in AZ. I would go there weekly and buy my beans straight from the store. Great stuff.
