Nossa Familia Coffee founder Augusto Carneiro's great-grandfather and his three brothers planted the family's first coffee crop in 1890. Nestled beside an ancient volcano in the Brazilian highlands, the farm was a half-day by horseback to the local train station and eight hours on the train to reach São Paulo!

I love this coffee. It’s my go to brew. I travel often and typically take my small grinder, pour over kit and favorite mug along with my Mathilde’s. When space prohibits it I realize just how consistent Nossa Familia Mathilde’s coffee is. For my taste nothing beats it. I can order coffee from around the world but I brew this coffee for the flavor, low acidity and overall deliciousness!

Wake me up Flavor

I love a coffee that can stimulate early in the morning and this was a great wake me up coffee that I love and will be mentioning to all my coffee drinkers in my family and not leaving out the friends.

Mathilda’s Roast

We love Mathilda’s roast coffee. It’s our daily ‘go to’ for French press. It has rich, deep flavor that’s well balanced and smooth. We moved away from Portland to the Puget Sound area and tried many local roasters to find one we liked as well as Nossa. We had no luck, so we have two pounds shipped to us every month. We are grateful that we didn’t have to give up our favorite brew and are happy to support a company like Nossa Familia.
