At Nossa Familia, we've made a commitment to become a net zero carbon emissions company by 2030. To achieve this goal we continually look for ways to reduce our environmental footprint through the full cycle of coffee. In addition to reducing, reusing, and repurposing the resources we have, we also actively look for ways to invest in long-range solutions.
In 2016 and again in 2022 we partnered with Pacific Energy Concepts (PEC) to identify and implement improvements to our roasting facility and delivery service. First, by designing and deploying energy-efficient LED lighting in our roastery locations, PEC was able to both improve lighting quality and reduce energy waste. Secondly, by installing Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure to charge our EV fleet on-site and become the first coffee roaster in the region to offer zero emissions coffee delivery. Nossa Familia's partnership with PEC illustrates that sustainability is not only good for people and the planet, but it's good for business.
