Happy Earth Month!
In honor of Earth Month and in partnership with Earth Day Oregon, every bag of Full Cycle coffee you purchase in April will support The Street Trust (TST) and their work advocating for low carbon, multimodal transportation options that prioritize safety, accessibility, equity, and climate justice in the Portland Metro Region.
What is Earth Day Oregon?
Earth Day Oregon is a statewide collaboration between sustainably-minded businesses, like Nossa Familia, and nonprofits, like The Street Trust, teaming up to amplify the impact of Earth Day. In 2022, 288 Oregon businesses donated over $343,000 in funds to Oregon nonprofits who work everyday to advance the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals for a healthier planet today and into the future.

Why is The Street Trust involved in an Earth Day Campaign?
Climate Justice Means Transportation Justice
Climate justice means transportation justice, particularly for communities lacking access to safe routes. The Street Trust advocates for policy transformation and major investments to save lives, reduce barriers, and expand infrastructure to marginalized people and neighborhoods neglected by failings in the existing transportation system. Their vision for safe streets, supporting multimodal transportation, improves the air we breathe, keeps families safer, supports outdoor activity, reduces carbon emissions and helps connect people to jobs and critical services.
The Street Trust Climate Justice Goals include:
- Reducing vehicle miles traveled
- Reducing congestion through improving use of non-auto modes and implementation of equitable road pricing policy
- Supporting the use of travel options with a lower greenhouse gas impact
- Increasing tree canopy, with a focus on communities most impacted by climate deterioration
ABOUT OUR GIVEBACK PROGRAM
Since 2015, we've been proud to donate .50-cents of every bag of Full Cycle purchased to nonprofits like The Street Trust, striving to make the world a better place through bicycles. Our Full Cycle coffee is one of three main giveback coffees within our larger giving program. Through the Nossa Familia Giveback Program we make financial contributions and donate coffee to organizations that are working to alleviate poverty and improve the livelihood of people locally and in coffee growing countries.
From the time we started Nossa Familia back in 2004, we have donated more than $510,000 in cash and in-kind to non-profit organizations and charitable causes that support communities, youth, and the environment.
