Testimonials:

"I have been fortunate enough to be able to travel to many countries in my life.  I can say, unequivocally, that this trip was the most profound and life altering experience that you can only capture when you are immersed completely in another culture and country."
-Eric, Belmont Coffee Service

"I now have first-hand experience of how the coffee is impacted by who is growing it- how the plants and the land are cared for and how it’s processed. It really struck me how much every person we met was invested in the quality of the coffee, and what impact that has at our end, in our mission to serve delicious and high quality products! This trip was truly life-changing!"
-Jess, Grand Central Bakery

FAQ's

Does the trip price include airfare?
The cost of this trip does not include any airfare.

Does the trip price include airport transfers?
Yes, the trip price will include transfers to and from our starting and ending lodging locations on the arrival and departure dates; anything outside must be arranged separately by the guest.

What airport should I fly into?
The closest major airport to the starting point of this trip near Antigua is Guatemala City (GUA), which is about a 45-minute drive to Antigua.

Will I need to apply/pay for a visa in advance?
All travelers will need a passport. If you have a U.S. passport, Guatemala does not require a tourist visa for stays of 90 days or less. Please let us know if you plan to come on the trip and do not have a U.S. passport, as we will need to make sure any additional requirements are met.

When do I need to arrive and depart?
All guests need to plan to arrive by the night of Jan. 21. Accommodations are arranged starting that night and then a full day of activities starting the morning of the 22nd. We have activities and lodging planned through the night of Jan. 27, with departure date as the 28th (with no activities planned for the departure date besides going to the airport). If enough people arrive by the afternoon of the January 21, we may arrange a group dinner at a farmer's home.

Can I arrive earlier or stay later?
Of course! We highly recommend extending your stay in Guatemala by either coming earlier or staying later. The country is absolutely stunning and there are an endless number of activities and sights to see. We have a couple days planned in Antigua and Lake Atitlan as part of the trip, but if you have extra days it would allow you more time to see Guatemala and also give you more flexibility in flight options. You would just need to make sure you are in Antigua the night of Jan. 21 and plan to break from the group the night of Jan. 27 or 28.

What happens if I book and need to cancel?
Your trip payment is fully refundable if canceling by November 1; 50% refundable after November 1. We are not able to offer a refund if needing to cancel after January 15.
