We use the Sanbei KS-686 scale in our cafes and appreciate its form-factor, its rubber mat, and the integrated timer. A scale is one of the most important tools to own for brewing good coffee.
It works well, it’s simple and I like the little logo hidden under the mat. The controls are easy and do what they need to. I’m very happy with this.
I have tried several scales in the $20 to $50 range on Amazon and all had horrible latency. This scale is very fast; I would say that if the Brewista is faster, it is imperceptible to me. Scale works great for pour-overs and espresso.
I upgraded from gram precise digital kitchen scales, so it's a pleasure to see the brew weight ascend by tenths up to the exact total I'm targeting, instead of blindly pouring until I inevitably shot past the target. Small enough footprint for my Miss Silvia, which means there's yet another area of my coffee life I don't have grope around in.
The scale was shipped from OR and took a diversion to WA (through no fault of Nossa) before arriving In my CA home. Worth the wait. Small form factor sufficient for a cup or a container of beans, integrated timer, and, while not fully tested across all ranges, apparent gram accuracy for a single pour-over or brewed drip pot compared to my other kitchen scale. Good value and functionality.
