This event is for professional roasters who are already roasting coffee, but would like to focus on their profile development and work with their coffee to make positive changes. We'll take you through the journey of coffee - discussing how it is grown, processed, roasted, and prepared. You'll also learn about the Nossa Familia Coffee sourcing philosophy, and our approach to social and environmental responsibility. Finally, we'll lead you through a coffee cupping to experience a variety of coffees, tasting them and learning how to identify flavor differences and profiles.

This hands-on & interactive class will focus on demystifying the skills, equipment and ideas needed to make great coffee in your own space. Perfect for the budding home barista, or simply the coffee-curious, we will guide you through several brewing techniques, discussing the "hows" and "whys" of brewing craft coffee. Included in this class is a 4oz bag of coffee.
Are you constantly filled with barista envy, and want to learn the secrets of the trade to pull your own espresso shots and perfectly steam milk at home? In this 2-hour class you'll learn the basics of the art of espresso extraction and milk steaming. We will take you on the journey of coffee from seed to cup, and instruct on how this knowledge translates into making delicious espresso drinks. By the end of this class you will have the ability to pull and evaluate proper espresso shots, and learn theory behind good milk texture when steaming and pouring drinks.

Join us at our roastery for a free and informal public tour & coffee cupping. We’ll take you behind the scenes into our roastery, learning all about how our coffee is roasted and professionally evaluated, from bean to cup. You'll also join us in our "lab" for a coffee cupping, where you’ll have the opportunity to taste a variety of coffees, identifying flavor differences and tasting notes.
